Storm King Admission w GUIDED TOUR!

An hour drive north of New York City, Storm King Art Center, one of the largest sculpture parks in the United States, is dedicated to integrating monumental installations in a magnificent landscape, amidst the fields, the hills and the woodlands. It provides the setting for a collection of more than a hundred sculptures dating from the end of WWII to present days, by artists such as Alexander Calder, Mark di Suvero, Richard Serra…

https://stormking.org/visit/

Storm King Art Center is a 500-acre outdoor museum located in New York’s Hudson Valley, where visitors experience large-scale sculpture and site-specific commissions under open sky. Since 1960, Storm King has been dedicated to stewarding the hills, meadows, and forests of its site and surrounding landscape. Building on the visionary thinking of its founders, Storm King supports artists and some of their most ambitious works. Changing exhibitions, programming, and seasons offer discoveries with every visit.

2nd Stop :"Cornish Estate Ruins"

About an hour into the Hudson Valley is the charmingly abandoned mansion itself is something straight out of a movie. Giant stone walls surround you as you make your way around what was once one of the premier properties of the Hudson Highlands. Over 50 years later, you can still see the ashes from the fire scattered atop the remaining tile work. Floors of fireplaces are stacked on top of each other, leaving one to imagine who slept in these rooms and looked out on the Hudson River. The Hike is easy and we will take our time...there is a vast network of hiking trails that thread their way over and around the highland peaks. We will explore a few trails in the area. The Total of 4-miles Today the estate is an urban adventurer’s dream and a satisfying ending to a fun hike.

3. "Historical Cold Spring" After the Hike we will visit "Historical Cold Spring" and you can grab something to eat. Most of the houses, churches and other buildings came into existence in the years before the Civil War, when the nearby West Point Foundry was at the peak of its production and workers were rapidly moving into the area.
